Square One is founded back in March 2020 when a group of English Department students of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Malaya was tasked with a project: to create a newsletter of interesting and engaging reads, mainly targetting the students of University Malaya. The project is currently led by Editor Atifah Batrisyia and her sub-editors Nur Shahira and Nadhrah Athirah.

Although the world was cursed with the pandemic in mid-March, their editor and sub-editors chose to push through with the project, turning the unfortunate event into their main discussion. Hence, there will be a huge chunk of Movement Control Order and COVID-19 related news and articles included in the newsletter. The completion of this group project proved that every situation can be turned into something positive, thus, we hope our readers can grab a snack and enjoy their read!
