1. Issi & Ossi (2020)

If you love cliché romantic comedy plot, this movie is undeniably made for you. This German film follows Isi (Lisa Vicari) and Ossi (Dennis Mojen) in which a rich girl and a poor boy fakes a relationship but ended up falling for each other. Both of them take advantage of each other at first; Isi needs Ossi to cause a stir in her so-called perfect family and Ossi need Isi’s money to pay for his boxing match and his mother’s debt. A little different from usual rom-com movie, there is no “meet cute” in this movie. The two meets at a burger joint where Isi asks for a job but then gives her number to a random guy, who happens to be Ossi.

2. The Half of It (2020)

“This is not a love story” said the heroine, Ellie Chu (Leah Lewis) at the beginning of the movie. Paul Munsky (Daniel Diemer) seek helps from Ellie to write a love letter for his crush, Aster Flores (Alexxis Lemire). This movie indeed gives us different feels with any other romantic comedy movies. Paul is in the football team, but he is not the usual hot popular douche, he is just a friendly neighbor who dreams to create a new sausage recipe for his family’s restaurant. If this is a cliché rom-com movie, Ellie would end up falling in love with Paul but something different happens instead.

3. Wrong Missy (2020)

This American comedy film looks at unfortunate events that happen to Tim Morris (David Spade) when he brings the wrong Missy (Lauren Lapkus) to Hawaii for his work retreat. Tim met Melissa “Missy” at a blind date and find her strange especially with her odd behavior. Later, Tim met another Melissa (Molly Sims) at the airport and clicked well and begins to text her and eventually invite her to his work retreat. On the plane, on his way to Hawaii, Missy shows up and Tim realizes he had been texting the wrong Melissa the whole time. Funny and bizarre incident happens through the weekend between the two where Tim learns something inside Missy that he missed on their blind date before.

4. Love, Wedding, Repeat (2020)

While trying to make sure his sister’s wedding go smoothly, Jack (Sam Claflin) finds himself facing an angry ex-girlfriend, an univited guest with a secret, a misplaced sedative and the girl that got away – all in alternate versions of the same day. This movie is sure to tickle your funny bone as it keeps the mishaps flowing in this comedy film.

5. Spenser Confidential (2020)

The story follows Spenser’s (Mark Walhberg) journey as an ex-policeman fresh out of jail for beating his superior, Captain Boylan. On the night of his release, Boylan and his former colleague were found murdered. Intent on solving the case, Spenser recruited Hawk (Winston Duke) to help him dig up the truth to clear his friend’s name. This action comedy is a great movie to watch while you’re stuck at home.

6. Extraction (2020)

This movie stars Thor’s Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, an Australian mercenary hired to rescue an Indian druglord’s son, Ovi (Rudhraksh Jaiswal) from the grip of his Bangladeshi rival, Amir (Priyanshu Painyuli). However, Amir ordered the city to be closed off, prompting Rake to find other escape plans while blasting off the enemies, intent on bringing Ovi to safety even at the cost of his own life. This movie is packed with action and lots of gunfires – perfect for the fans of action-thriller films.
